A Standard Membership for individuals (not a program/company) who want a membership for themselves and will pay with their own payment method. It’s intended for a single childcare professional or community member and isn’t meant to be shared or reassigned to someone else.
A Staff membership is for programs that purchase memberships for their employees. The membership belongs to the Program/Company, not the individual.
It is paid for by the program.
Each staff member must have their own membership, but if someone leaves or is no longer connected to your program, you can reassign that membership to a different staff member. Each membership can be used by one staff member at a time.
You can add a staff member to your membership. This membership will belong to your Program/Company. Each staff member is required to have their own membership however if this staff person is no longer connected to your program you can change this membership to a new staff person.
When filling out the membership form be sure to use staff name, email and language preference on the first page. The billing information will be owner/program information. This membership is renewed annually same as the Standard membership
IMPORTANT NOTE
The key idea is: the membership is attached to the account that completes checkout. So if the program owner is logged in, the membership will show under the owner’s name. If the staff member is logged in, it will show under the staff member’s name.
Step-by-step (to make it show under the staff member):
1. Program owner signs out of the PRO website (on that browser/device).
2. Confirm you’re signed out (you should see “Sign in / Sign up”).
3. Click Sign up and create an account using the staff member’s name and email (or Sign in if they already have an account).
4. While logged into the staff member’s account, purchase the staff membership.
5. At checkout, you can still use the program/company billing info and payment method—that won’t change whose name the membership appears under.
This can be a bit confusing, so reach out if you’d like help—either way, you’ll still have a staff membership.
You can transfer an active staff membership to another staff member if someone leaves your program. This flexibility is one of the key benefits of having staff memberships owned by your program.
To request a transfer, let PRO know which staff member is leaving and who should receive the membership by completing the MEMBERSHIP TRANSFER FORM. Click the button below to be directed to that form.

Yes.
If your current membership has an end date, you can renew now and choose a later start date—typically the day your current membership ends.
When you start the renewal, you’ll be asked to Choose a date. Select the date you want the new membership to begin, and it will automatically start on that day.
