Cohort Title:Child Care Leaders Transition to Quality Trainers
Cohort Objective: To attract people with step 9 or higher wanting to go to the next level of becoming a community trainer or are current community trainers working on becoming master trainers or newer master trainers wanting more support to becoming a quality trainer.
Total Hours: 32 (14 “Face to Face” and 18 Distance Learning)
Cohort start date: February 6th, 2016
Cohort Description:Content is focused on the foundational knowledge and skills needed to become a community trainer. The cohort is designed to lead them from understanding the adult learner to exploring their facilitation style, teaching strategies, and creating a session. Participants will be expected to create a session and incorporate their learning into the final session proposal. * PRO will be presenting participants with a great opportunity to earn their money back during their training to become Master Trainers.
Cohort Class Dates and Titles:
Classes meet 9:00-3:30 (with a 30 minute “brown bag” lunch break)
2-6-16 ClassDevelopment of Adult Learners
2-6-16 to 3-6-16 Online Effective Training Materials & Strategies
3-6-16 to 4-6-16 Online Creating a Professional Development Sessions
4-6-16 to 5-6-16 Online Facilitations Skills for Trainer
4-16-16 to 5-15-16 Face to Face Coaching Training Session Feedback and Revisions Suggestions
5-7-16 Class Effective Evaluation for Trainer & Class The 10-minute Trainer
Cohort Cost: $250 with preapproved Betty Gray Scholarship. *PRO will be offering an opportunity to earn tuition back. We have a new Community Trainer Partnership agreement that will allow you to create Set Two training events and train for the PRO community and earn your $250 investment back.
You must register by Feb 1, 2016:
You need your pre-approved Betty Gray Scholarship letter from the Oregon Center for Career Development for advanced Cohorts, be a Step10 on the Oregon Registry Certificate or Community Training Certificate and your $250. Mail your scholarship letter, your proof of step or community trainer certifcate and your check to: PRO C/O Becky Goodman 1241 SE 212th Ave Gresham OR 97030. (Payment installment available with $125 deposit at registration and remaining balance due at first class.) If your are a Step 9 on the Registry and working on your 10 and plan to approved by June 2016 by the end of the Cohort you can be admitted into the Cohort & Partnership. Cohort spots will give priority for participants with a Step 10 or Current Community Trainers.
